AFL: Daniel Murphy Update

Not much is going on today, so I thought I'd update everyone on Daniel Murphy's play in the Arizona Fall League. Murphy played in 15 games this fall, and the Sags have just 6 games left on their schedule, so the sample size is small, but in just 15 games Murphy has:

• .397 Batting Average (he's getting a hit in almost 1/2 of his at bats)
• He has 8 doubles and 2 home runs in 25 hits (40% of his hits are for extra bases)
• In 63 at-bats he has drawn 13 walks and only stuck out 6 times

Eddie Kunz notes in his AFL blog that Murphy's defense at 2B is improving.
