Pujols Wins NL MVP Award

Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols won his second NL MVP award. Pujols, who played the season with an injured right elbow that he eventually had surgery on following the season, hit .357 with 37 home runs and 116 RBIs. Pujols won his first NL MVP award in 2005.

Although he led the league in homeruns with 48, Ryan Howard finished second in MVP voting, probably due to his disgusting batting average (.251), high number of strike outs (199), and the little league ballpark the Phillies call home, known as Citizen's Bank Park.

Ugh, thank GOD it wasn't Ryan Howard. I would have thrown a serious hissy fit. I'm talking 5 years old in the middle of the grocery store style.
